Well, Samsung Galaxy S4 is not really a full working Octa-core. Yeah, you've read it right,
SGS4 is still a Quad-core phone, nothing more, nothing less.. Your initial reactions will be "But I've read it a page and it says OCTA!!!?!"
Yeah, SGS4's chipset is Exynos 5 octa and even me was surprised for the first time I've read it. So I will explain how this "OCTA" thing work.
SGS4 have 4 Cortex A-15 cores and 4 Cortex A-7 cores which is making it look like an octa-cored phone. But here's the trick, SGS4 makes the A-15 cores work when the task is really heavy. Because A-15 cores are much faster and stronger than A-7 cores. But when the task is simple and easy, this is the time the phone will switch to A-7 cores which were more energy saving but less powerful than the A-15 ones.
The most easiest to say this is that A-15 cores are for multitasking and more and A-7 cores are for energy saving. That's why it's not really a full working Octa-core.
